University of Reading

The University of Reading is situated in the English town of Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom. This University was founded in the year 1892 as University College. This university received its Royal Charter in 1926. It is based on numerous campuses in, and around, the town of Reading. Education in UK is preferred by most of the students since it provides the best opportunity to the students in all possible ways for their bright future. This University has an elongated tradition of research, education and training at a local, national and international level. It provides traditional degrees and also vocationally relevant ones too. It was awarded the Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education in 1998, 2005, 2009 and in 2011. It is one among the 10 most research intensive universities in the UK and ranked in the top 1% of universities in the world. The Schools of Art and Science were the first origins of this university which were relocated to the new college by Reading Town Council in 1892. The smaller London Road Campus is the original University site and is nearer to the town center of Reading. The London Road site forms the base for the most of the extramural and distance learning activities of this university, and is home to the Center for Continuing Education.
