New Zealand Funds Requirement

You need to show your bank statement/letter in order to prove that you and your sponsor possess enough funds to cover the study cost in New Zealand. Additionally, you also need to show that all the funds are available at once without any penalty for withdrawal.

Bank statements from savings or checking accounts are considered to be the best for this particular reason.

Property deeds, income statements, and other related forms of investments are usually not acceptable. You can illustrate funds via multiple accounts or multiple sponsors, if a need arises.

New Zealand Immigration Service needs to see whether you possess enough funds to cover your living needs while you are in New Zealand.

However, if you possess pre-arranged housing or lodging in New Zealand then your bank statement should illustrate NZD 400 per month. If you don’t have a pre-arranged housing or lodging, your bank statement should illustrate NZD 1000 per month.
