Education System in New Zealand
New Zealand is said to be a highly education nation with the literacy rate of nearly 100%. Similar to other developed nations education remains to be the major and essential requirement in this country too. Science, arts, engineering and nature studies are the ones that are mostly preferred by the students who visit this country to pursue their higher studies. The student teacher ratio is also said to be quite remarkable and notable wherein a teacher takes class for 18 students. The Government of New Zealand is very keen in endorsing the country to be a preferred destination in the midst of the international students. The government also guides in accommodation, financing and counseling services. There is no superior age limit for education in New Zealand however 19 is the minimum age limit for tertiary education. The academic year begins in the month of March and ends in November while the summer semester starts from January and ends in March.
