Canadian cuisine generally depends on various regions. Different areas have distinct style of cooking. Canadian cuisine can be classified mainly according to three eras in its history. The First nation cuisine followed by the English and finally the French roots of the traditional cuisine. Canada had been colonized by the Europeans. As a result it has adopted some of the cultures from them. Hence we find similar cuisine in Canada as the Europeans. It is also related to the American cuisine as we see that the two countries are very close to each other. Hence cross border interaction and exchange of tastes occur very often.

Maple syrup is largely found in various parts of Canada. In fact it is one of its largest producers in the entire world. Salmon recipes, French recipes and of course Canadian cookie recipes are some of the delicacies in Canada. If one is foodie then Canada is a great place for that.
